Never Forget: Today is 9/11

On September 11, 2001, a devastating event occurred in the United States.  Through the work of terrorists, America was attacked brutally and unexpectedly resulting in the loss of thousands of innocent lives.  Families were broken, emotions were uncontrollable, and grief burdened the hearts of citizens of the United States.

Today we remember the sorrowful event as a moment to reflect on our lives and the gift of life.  We are all still alive for a reason.  We may not be able to bring back the ones we love, but we can continue to support those who need love.  The gift of life is always taken for granted.  I myself struggle to appreciate the gift I have been give to live an extra day.  Don't let these opportunities slip away.  Help someone today, tomorrow, and for the rest of your lives.

I have made mistakes in my life that I regret and I still have more to come.  No one is perfect and we need to accept that.  Mistakes can be fixed, but we must have an open heart in order to start by helping ourselves.  Enjoy the life you have today and spend time with others.  There is never a bad time to just enjoy life!

A picture of the reconstruction of the Twin Towers.  Now called the "One World Trade Center," I was able to take this picture about a month ago while I stayed in New York.
